Last weekend, Rocket successfully launched its second protocol, including elastic supply, staking dapp, transaction fee, and increasing target price.
How to swap to RCKT V2?
Swap button called “CLAIM V2 RCKT” will appear under “Buy on Uniswap” button, and will allow you to swap RCKT V1 -> RCKT V2. Once you swap, you can stake your Rocket V2 via “Stake RCKT” on: https://dashboard.rockettoken.net
How is RCKT V1 -> V2 calculated?
There are no fees swapping from RCKT V1 -> V2. We will leave swap open (swap deadline will eventually be announced) as it will be percentage based to incorporate the supply changes on V2. This means nobody will have an advantage waiting to swap, avoiding positive/negative rebases. The swap will calculate V2 rebases and give their % share based on the current swap value.
Rocket V2’s Protocol:
Rocket is a state of the art DeFi protocol that implements advanced token economics including token burns and staking into its fee structure.
Rocket has implemented an elastic supply model that increases the amount of tokens in your wallet if the token price is over the “target price”, and decreases the amount of tokens if the token price is under the “target price”. This is known as a rebase. Current “target price” can be found on: https://dashboard.rockettoken.net/
This allows your percentage of the RCKT supply to be non-dilutive, meaning your share of the total token stack never loses value as supply adjustments are universal. While this feature of token-economics is similar to AMPL, RCKT has a key difference. Rocket’s target price gradually increases over time, rather than being fixed at $1. This makes RCKT an attractive investment for both casual and veteran investors.
Fee Breakdown
To support the increasing “target price”, Rocket implements a 3% fee (2% to stakers + 1% is burnt). This token “fee” incurs every single transaction, buy, sell, etc.
Staking Dapp:
To implement staking into the Rocket ecosystem, we have developed a Staking Dapp (Decentralized Application). This contract charges an additional 2% fee on entering and 2% on exiting staking. The normal 3% fee breakdown is still the same, but the additional 2% fee is given as dividends to all current stakers, making the fee 5% to enter / exit the Dapp. Therefore, entering and exiting is always beneficial due to constant dividends, which not only promotes, but rewards long term holding and growth in staking.
Professional Security Audit Update:
We are happy to announce the completion of our audit from the professional blockchain security firm Zokyo (zokyo.io). We have attached the audit report below. Our contract completely passed the security check. The only “flaw” that showed up was the “control” left in for us to implement DAO and updates to the contract if needed. AMPL also has the feature in their contract.
